Kruse Capital

Long-term capital. Founder-aligned.
Built by an operator for the next generation.

An office built around how we actually invest.

Kruse Capital is the private investment office of Brandon Kruse and his family. It exists to steward the proceeds of two decades of company-building into something that lasts longer than any one venture.

We invest the way we built: hands-on where we can add value, patient where we can't, and concentrated in conviction. We answer to one family, hold positions for years, and stay focused on what we know.

We do not manage outside money.

Brandon Kruse

Founder

Brandon is a self-taught engineer and operator who has spent his career building software companies. He sold his first business, a telecom platform called Dialmaxx, before he was old enough to drink. In 2015 he founded CommentSold, the live-selling platform for independent retailers, which scaled to billions of GMV before successive exits to ZMC Partners and Permira.

How we think about capital.

Patient by default.

Our holding period is measured in decades. The point of building one company was so the next one didn't have to be rushed. That mindset carries into how we allocate.

Concentrated in conviction.

We look at a lot. We act on a little. The best opportunities are usually obvious once you've done the work — and they deserve to be sized like it.

Aligned with operators.

The best returns we've seen came from backing founders we'd want to build with. We invest accordingly — long-dated, low-friction, and willing to be useful when asked.

Where we put capital to work.

01

Operating Companies

Direct ownership in private businesses where we can be a useful, long-term partner. Founder-led, profitable, and run by people we'd want to spend years working with.

02

Software & Technology

Early- and growth-stage software where we have pattern recognition. We back technical founders building tools we'd have wanted ourselves.

03

Real Assets & Collectibles

Real estate, tangible holdings, and select collectibles. Chosen for durability, inflation protection, and the kind of optionality that comes from owning things that hold their value.

04

Liquid Markets & Alternatives

Concentrated public equity positions, structured products, and alternative strategies. Few names, held for a long time, supplemented by instruments that complement the core book.

We give like we invest.

Giving is a core part of what we do, not an afterthought. The Kruse Family Fund is our donor-advised fund at Daffy, where we direct grants to the causes and organizations we believe in — with the same conviction we bring to any other allocation.

Each year, we match donations from friends and family to the nonprofits they care about most. If there's a cause that matters to you, tell us about it — we'll consider it for the next round of matching.

We keep our giving public where we can — to credit the people doing the work, and because we think more families should talk about it openly.
